Number seven ranked in the BCS Georgia Bulldogs have a record of 10-2, 6-2 SEC. Georgia started the season winning its first seven games, before conceding losses to Florida and Auburn in back-to-back games and then finished the season by winning the last 3 games in a row. Meanwhile, Number 11 BCS ranked West Virginia Mountaineers (record 10-1, 7-0 Big East) has won seven straight games, giving up it's only loss to Virginia Tech, who was ranked no.3 at the time of that loss, and went on to finish the year with no losses in Big East Conference games. This year's Sugar Bowl should prove to be a a very exciting game. Georgia and West Virginia have never faced one another in regular or post-season play. Georgia holds a record of 3-4 in the Sugar Bowl. The last time the Bulldogs were in the Bowl was in 2003 when they went to New Orleans as SEC champions and beat Florida State, 26-13. West Virginia will be making its third appearance in the Classic and is 0-2 in their first two trips to the Bowl. The Mountaineers losses in the Sugar bowl were to the Florida Gators in 1994 and Georgia Tech in 1954.
